Last December 2012, Ellips Circle of Possibilites had a Pre-Christmas Shopping in Makati. I got there just right on time then I saw Abby with her mom. We talked for awhile while waiting for the other girls.

Few minutes later, we decided to explore Forever21 which is the meeting place. While looking at the beautiful clothes and accessories, we met Fiona. Then Ronni, ate Pot, and ate Isa.

Before starting with our activity for the month, we first grabbed some drinks at Starbucks. We didn't know where it was so we walked a lot before finally getting there. We were tired but it was totally fine for us since  we had a know-more-about-each-other talks while walking. We did some chitchats and Ate Isa told us about our scope of work as an Ellips Girl.
It's Shopping Time! I had a hard time picking a good alluring dress. Our task was to find and help each other in choosing clothes that matches our variant and the variant color. Allure means "mature" so it was pretty challenging for me since I usually just wear shorts or jeans and a shirt. Good thing Ate Pot helped me. She has a great fashion sense. I loved the clothes and shoes.

Before ending the activity, we had a dinner together and small chitchats again. Fiona had fun interviewing everybody. Abby was very cheerful the whole time. Ate Isa and Ate Pot shared a lot about themselves too. And, Abby's and Fiona's mom also have a small talk with each other. Ronni already left because she had an appointment and Star wasn't able to come because she was in Cebu for vacation. Anyways, the foods in Army Navy was awesome! YUM! :)

Let me start off with the beginning.

I think the new chapter of my life-long adventure started when surfing the internet became my hobby. During free time on my first year in a university, I'm usually in front of my acer netbook. Aside from surfing, I also make and edit videos, photos, and even music. Because of that hobby, I become involved with online contests. My favorite was winning in the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process blog contest. I also had a chance to meet and greet my dance crew idol, Poreotix and watch Justin Bieber's concert on a VIP seat with my sister.
There were actually a lot more contests I joined and won but as of now, I started focusing more on studies and volunteering in a non-profit organization, AFS.

But on October 29, 2012, Ellips sent a message on Facebook inviting me to be part of Ellips Girls Circle. It sounds cool and fun so without any second thoughts, I accepted the invitation!
At first, I had no idea what are we gonna do. I thought it's just a one day meeting/gathering of all students from Summer U Promo. I was informed during our first day-out that only 5 girls were chosen from all the students who attended Summer University classes. I was really surprised that I was one of the five girls! Last Summer, Ellips sponsored different one-day classes exclusively for girls. I found out about it because one of my dorm-mates, Czarina Fortuno, joined the Surfing class and informed me about the ongoing Facebook contest.

If I knew it sooner, I probably joined the surfing class too because I've never done it before and I think it's a cool sport. Anyways, it was a great experience learning Travel Photography from a professional photographer, Estan Cabigas. He taught us many techniques in taking better pictures. I was actually surprised with the results I got from taking photos in Ayala Triangle.
These are the 5 girls chosen to be part of Ellips Circle of Possibilities:

Our first weekend get-together was last November 17, 2011 at Posh Nails, Venice Piazza Mckinley. We had a pampering and fun-filled SPArty!! :)) We shared many things about ourselves such as our favorite movie, likes, hobbies, and so on.

Honestly, I felt awkward at first because the other three girls (Star wasn't able to attend because she had plans for that day) are model of clothing lines or in their own school.  While me is very simple or ordinary. They wore fashionable clothes while I just had my shirt and jeans on. But as time goes by, I realized that they are nice and fun to talk with. The Ellips Staff (Ate Pot, Ate Isa, and Ate Lara) are also very kind.

It was just my second time going to Venice Piazza, Mckinley. It feels like it's in a different country. Specifically, a European country. It was a great place to have the first meeting of Ellips Girls. The ambiance was good and refreshing. Posh Nails is also an awesome nail salon. It's Pink and Girly furnitures makes us feel good . :)

If I had the chance and enough knowledge to invent something useful worldwide, I would invent a fashionable protective clothing against global warming and other boiling elements.

It's 2012! There are rumors going around that it is the end-of-the-world year.  According to those rumors that has been disseminated through mass media, there will be destructive events that will cause major problems to our mother Earth.  I do not believe the "end of the world" part but I think it is possible to have few number of destructive natural events this year since we already had some during the past few years.  Some of those are the Philippines' Ondoy and Sendong incident, and the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster.  Global warming is one of the causes of those natural disasters.  And according to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), "Global warming is making hot days hotter, rainfall and flooding heavier, hurricanes stronger and droughts more severe". This is a big threat for all living things on earth which include human beings.  That's why we, people, should prepare for the upcoming worse global warming (if it's not prevented to worsen).  The protective clothing that I wanted to invent could be an alternative of curing or preventing people from having diseases that can be caused by global warming which sometimes leads to death.  Skin Cancer and Heat Stroke are examples of those diseases.

We already have different kinds of clothing protections (e.g. heat and radiation protection for fire fighter clothing, molten metal protection for welders, stab protection and bulletproof vests, and spacesuits)  Moreover, firefighters have Encapsulated Suit and Turnout Gear to protect themselves from gaseous contaminants and extreme heat.  It is somehow alike to my ideal invention.  But, my protective clothing invention is LIGHTEREASIER to wear,  and MORE FASHIONABLE!  Therefore, more people would prefer wearing the both advantageous and fashionable clothes than just those trendy ones.  In my own point of view, majority of the people would probably not want to wear a plain firefighter suit to protect themselves from (extreme) heat since it is kind of heavy and embarrassing to wear in public.  The trendy or fashionable characteristic of my invention could encourage people to wear it which as the the same time prevents themselves from the bad affects of Global Warming.
On the picture above, I am wearing a fireman top suit.  We can see that the color gives too much attention  and the stripes are glowing in a lighted dark place.  Maybe through some alterations, we can make it more wearable for casual events.

I am not sure yet what materials to use to make my protective clothing fashionable and effective since I haven't conducted any research yet but I am thinking of finding a material that is better than Aramid and Nomex.  Aramid and Nomex are fire-resistant materials used for turnout gear worn by the firefighters.  As much as possible, I want to use organic and/or recyclable materials.

The clothes would have variety of designs so that people will have the chance to choose  unique and suitable clothes for them.  We never know!  Maybe someday, my ideal invention could be a designer clothes too.

                         AWESOME, FASHIONABLE and USEFUL!!! ♥♥♥

Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) Question:
In your perspective, what are the best ways to support & promote the Philippine peace process?

My answer:
There are many ways.  Exchange program can be one of the best.  These programs has really nice advocacy.  Their mission includes the stopping of discrimination and racism all over the world.  It will also give the participants a chance to share and learn different cultures, traditions, and lifestyles.  Through those intercultural activities, we can have a foundation of building bridges between nations which can create Peace not just in our country.

I am not in a beauty pageant, but I am really hoping for World Peace.
Because Peace everywhere is Awesome! :)

And, I want to share this slogan about having cultural differences.  I learned it from the exchange program.
It's not right.
It's not wrong.
It's just different!

I am really proud to be an YES alumna.
YES changed my life in a very positive way.

HI..

"hi" is a poem that i made many years ago.  i was so young that time.
it is short and very easy to memorize that's why out of all the poems i made, this is the only one left. o.O
and here it goes:

HI

hi.. is a word i use to greet you
hi.. is what i tell to someone i want to
hi.. is a magic word that noone can buy
but hi.. is the beginning of saying "goodbye"

Well, I used to be a semi-loner although I am a hyper kid.
I think it's because I studied in the same school from first grade to third year high school.  So technically, my only close friends were my classmates.  I am very energetic and noisy/talkative with my classmate-friends.  But, when I am with others, I am so silent and shy. I feel awkward!

Last november 4, 2008, there was two major activities that I have to attend.  One is the Math Olympics while the other one is an interview for an exchange program. Aat first, I decided to compete for my school but because of long-story stuff... I decided to go to the interview and let one of my classmates substitute for me in the contest.  I felt bad but I know that my teacher and coach understood my situation.  Good thing I was qualified for the national screening and we neither won nor lost in the competition. during the screenings,  I met new friends.  That's "where it all started!"  Almost every night, we sneak and go to each others room to chitchat instead of sleeping early because we have activities early in the morning.  It was so much fun! (good old days!)

Few days or weeks later, I received a call telling me that I qualified for the exchange program!  YEAY!  I honestly did not expect it since a lot of other students were great. So, I started accomplishing needed requirements.  After all those tiring things we've done, we are ready to have our exchange year in america! yippey!

We had lots of orientations in the philippines and america. all of it was fun and I made new friends. i feel so happy that i gain new cool friends. :)

I designed the three photos above.
